The tiles are frost resistant and acidproof, water absorption is lower than 1,0 %. Glazed tiles are produced in 30 colours. We recommend the white glazed tile for the tiling of sports pools, which provides a brilliant crystal clear blue color of the water.
We offer different types of pool scum channels. Types of pool scum channels mostly used today: The Finnish scum channel
The inclined edge and the scum channel are on the level of the pool deck. The advantages of this channel are: the water comes up the inclined levels as on a beach and the water level rapidly calms down, no chlorine ‘bell’, and the swimmer is in the same level with the pool surroundings. Its usage is obligatory for Olympic pools.
The low level Wiesbaden scum channel
The scum channel is situated approx. 30 cm below the pool edge. The waves are broken and a ‘chlorine bell’ is formed. The swimmer is not in the same level with the surroundings.
The high level Wiesbaden scum channel
It is used for hotel pools, because of the less need for space. There is no ‘chlorine bell’ and the swimmer is in the level of the surroundings.
